Responsible creation

Content Policy

FakeIt.Chat is for clearly fictional, creative, educational, and demonstrative mockups—not deception or harm.

Last updated August 23, 2026

Purpose and scope

This policy applies to your use of FakeIt.Chat and the mockups you create with it. The editor runs locally and does not currently host or publish user projects, but local processing does not remove your responsibility for how an output is created, shared, or represented.

Platform names and visual references are used only to describe fictional interfaces. FakeIt.Chat is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp, X, or their owners.

Allowed uses

  • Clearly fictional storytelling, parody, role-play, and creative projects.
  • UI demonstrations, product concepts, education, training, and presentation mockups.
  • Marketing or portfolio scenes that are labeled as mockups and do not invent real endorsements.
  • Testing layouts with invented identities and content you are authorized to use.

Prohibited uses

Do not use FakeIt.Chat to create, distribute, or support:

  • Fraud, scams, phishing, extortion, identity theft, or harmful impersonation.
  • Fabricated evidence, fake confessions, forged endorsements, or deceptive misinformation presented as authentic.
  • Harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing, hate, exploitation, or non-consensual sexual content.
  • Content that sexualizes or exploits minors, facilitates abuse, or violates applicable law.
  • Infringement of privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • Attempts to bypass security, distribute malware, or mislead people about the origin of an output.

Disclosure and sharing

When a reasonable viewer could mistake an output for a real conversation, post, status, call, or analytics screen, label it clearly as fictional, simulated, edited, or a mockup. Preserve context when reposting and do not remove another creator's disclosure in order to deceive.

Obtain permission before using a real person's name, photo, likeness, private information, or copyrighted media. Generated interface fidelity is not proof that the depicted event occurred.

Enforcement and reporting

Because FakeIt.Chat does not currently host local projects, maintainers cannot inspect or remove content stored only in your browser. We may remove bundled examples, restrict access to the hosted application, or respond to reports about repository-owned content when necessary to protect users, the project, or comply with law.

Report a repository-owned example, security concern, or suspected policy violation through the Contact page. Do not post sensitive personal information in a public issue.

No authenticity or legal guarantee

FakeIt.Chat and its outputs are provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing accuracy, rights, disclosures, and legal requirements before using or sharing an output. This policy is product guidance and is not legal advice.
